Virtual Band Meeting Video and Information

Greetings, Future Band Families!

If you were at our virtual meeting last night, thanks for coming! If you missed it, do not worry. Below is all the information that we shared last night. You can open and view it at your leisure.

First, please make sure that you complete this form of eight questions to let me know what your child is playing.

If your child is still unsure of what to play this fall, this is also a great resource. Not Sure What to Play?

If you know that you want to rent an instrument from Music and Arts or Scales Street Music in Reidsville, scan this QR code (or click here and follow the steps).

If you want to view the slideshow from last night's meeting, click below. It explains what band entails, answers commonly asked questions, and helps you through the process of renting an instrument. You can also view an archived video of the meeting attached to this email. Slideshow from Virtual Meeting 2020

If you already have an instrument or are going to get one a different way, please make sure that you still complete the questionnaire at the top or here.

If you are unsure that your instrument is in good shape, I will be glad to look at it and let you know. Just drop it by the school and let me know that it is there. I will get back to you as soon as I can. How many of you would play basketball with a flat basketball?  Most of us would go immediately and find a pump or get a new ball. Think about that when your child starts on an instrument that is not in good working order. You can help by letting a repair tech check out the instrument.

Finally, know how excited I am for your child to be in our band class! I am looking forward to a brand new school year! Beginning Band is one of the best classes in the whole school!

If you have any questions, feel free to send me an email.

All the Best,

Sam Boerboom
